Reading Literacy Certificate Admission Requirements

• Submit completed application of admission with fee.
• Submit an official transcript from the institution granting your baccalaureate or graduate degree.  All transcripts used for admission purposes must be from an accredited college or university recognized by CHEA and the Higher Education Directory.
• Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 from the Bachelor’s degree granting institution or 3.0 GPA from the Master’s.
• Must hold a valid standard teaching license (5-year)
  • Applicants must be teaching in a public or private school and provie a Letter of Confirmation (part of the Application Packet) from a supervising administrator of the individual’s current school of employment indicating years of experience and potential asa Reading Literacy specialist.
• Must submit a signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the Reading Literacy Certificate program
