Certificate in TESOL Admission Requirements

Required Documents for Admission to the TESOL Certificate program:

• Complete an application of admission with fee. 
• Submit an official transcript from the institution granting your baccalaureate or graduate degree.  All transcripts used for admission purposes must be from an accredited college or university recognized by CHEA and the Higher Education Directory.

Regular Admission

• A 2.75 cumulative undergraduate GPA or 3.0 cumulative graduate GPA is required.
• Submit a signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the TESOL program.

International Graduate Applicants

International graduate applicants from non-English speaking countries must also submit scores on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) of 79 iBT, the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) of 6.5, or the Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL) of 70. Scores must be no more than two years old and must be verifiable.
