This course is designed to provide students with an introduction to the principles of pharmacology with an emphasis on clinical applications within the context of the nursing process and prioritization of needs. Indications, modes of action, effects, contraindications, and interactions for selected drugs and specific nursing responsibilities related to drug administration are emphasized. The impact of technology, economic and regulatory forces as well as collaboration with the health care team are discussed. Audits Not Allowed
