This course is designed to focus on the care of adult clients with complex health alterations that require medical and/or surgical intervention. Concepts of client centered care, cultural diversity, informatics, safe practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, and professionalism are integrated throughout the course. Content units highlight complex alterations in health system functioning and the role of the nurse in care management is emphasized throughout. Clinical experiences will provide the student an opportunity to apply theoretical concepts and implement safe client care to adults in a variety of settings. (Nursing Majors Only) Audits Not Allowed
