This is a hands-on course that introduces students to the most common methods used in ceramics production that do not utilize the wheel. Hand building is a method of creating ceramic forms using your hands and simple tools. It entails the three primary techniques of pinching, coiling and slab building. Modeling is the process of creating 3 dimensional forms through both adding and removing clay.
