EDU 677 - Principal Internship I: Role of the Principal (3 ) GR
Synthesize artifacts, reflective papers, and internship time logs required in each of the courses taken in the degree attainment process within a written defense that will later be utilized in the final course in the degree process to create a solid oral defense. Candidates describe their internship activities in terms of how the activity met the National Educational Leadership Preparation (NELP) Standards and their individual strengths and weaknesses in meeting each standard component. Action plans for improving attainment of each standard in which a weakness was found are created and acted upon prior to the end of the final course in the degree program (EDU 678/778). This practice enhances understanding of the NELP standards, while developing instructional leadership skills that will well serve the candidate when a school leadership position is attained.
