The baccalaureate program in nursing prepares individuals to practice competently within complex healthcare systems while demonstrating integrity, compassion, and justice in all aspects of their lives. Graduates are prepared to assume the roles of provider of care, designer/manager/coordinator of care, and a member of a profession.

The BS degree in nursing (BSN) is offered in two different formats, the traditional pre-licensure BSN and the online RNBSN completion.

88-89 hours to include:

Pre-requiste courses (27 - 28 hours)

Human Anatomy and Physiology

Microbiology

Chemistry

CHE 131 - Chemistry for Health Sciences (3) for students transferring less than 24 hours
Physics I, Health Science Physics, Nutrition or other physical science course for transfers with more than 24 hours

Note:

In order to pass a nursing course, the student must have a TEST average AND overall course average of 73 or greater. The test average includes all tests, quizzes and exams in the course. Additional course assignments are not included in the test average but can supplement the course grade if the test average is above 73. Thus, students with less than a 73 on their test average will receive the test average grade for the course grade.
