The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Dance curriculum includes a minimum of 124 credit hours to include:

A minimum of 58 credits in dance (with a minimum of 22 credits of technical studies)
7 credits of performance or choreography studies
29 credits of dance studies (history, theory, body sciences, and career preparation)

58 hours to include:

Required Dance Courses (24 hours)

Required Dance Studies (12 hours)

Teaching Methods (4 hours)

Choose two:

Performance and Choreography Studies (5 hours)

Performance II Option (2 hours)

Dance Technical Studies (1 hours)

DAN 215 - Conditioning for Dancers (1 )

Dance Studies Electives (12 hours)

Choose from the following courses

Dance Technical Studies (22 hours)

Two technique/studio courses from different genres are recommended each semester (ballet, modern, and/or jazz technique.)

Technique/studio courses include Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Partnering Techniques, Variations, Pas de Deux, Men’s Technique, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop,Conditioning for Dancers, Yoga and Pilates.
