Genre-specific writing workshops in fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, and speculative fiction.

Applied or Cross-Cultural Electives (6 hours)

Skill-based and cross-cultural coursework in any of the following areas:

AI Literacy, Animation, Business, Computer Science, Creative Arts Therapy, Education, Fashion Merchandising, Film, Graphic Design, Intercultural Studies, Marketing, Museum Studies, Public Relations, Web Design

Literature (9 hours)

300-400 level literature courses taught through the English department.

Colloquy

Weekly small groups for writers where works-in-progress can be read and discussed.

CWR 199 - Creative Writing Colloquy (0 ) (4 semesters)

Creative Writing Honors Program:

For honors designation, the BFA student in Creative Writing must complete 15 hours of honors courses in the major.

Note:

Creative writing majors may take CWR 482 Spec Topics Writing Workshop up to two times if the topics for each workshop are different.
