Intercultural Studies, BA

The International Studies (IST) department educates students through experiential learning to enhance their opportunities for success in global careers. It also offers students an interdisciplinary framework to better understand the world we live in and have been called to serve, and it equips students with cultural intelligence (CQ) and creative problem-solving skills while respecting and embracing diversity. As a Christian liberal arts university, Belhaven emphasizes the importance of a biblical worldview and the integration of theology and global engagement. The Intercultural Studies (ICS) major is for students who plan to be involved in international service or to work in cross-cultural community development.
