Education/Secondary Non-Licensure, MAT

When a candidate has taken and passed the following listed MDE required tests for admission to the MAT-7-12 Secondary Alt/Licensure Program, they may request a degree change in order to be eligible for the Secondary MS Alternate Route Teacher Endorsement Degree Program leading to a Mississippi Teacher Endorsement in the content/subject area in which a candidate has taken and passed the Praxis II Test.

The following tests are required for full admission to the Secondary MAT Alternate Route Licensure Program:

ACT/SAT or PRAXIS CORE, or 3.0 GPA

MAT Reading Course

REA 617 - Content Area Literacy (3 ) *
